We hope you are having an awesome day, and we want to make it even awesome-er, with this blog post.
Just kidding...

Laura and Julie from Century 21 JC Jones Grants Pass here...
We were wondering...Are you pre-approved for a mortgage?
Don't close this before finishing it, because this is something you should be aware of.

You are looking at new home listings every day...you finally find EXACTLY what you are looking for...you've been searching for a long time, and there it is! Let's buy it!

Not So Fast!

Again, we see it all the time!

Failing to get a pre-approved mortgage is one of the sins of home buying. Why? No seller will enter into a contract with you if you can't prove that you can afford to buy their property.

How do you prove that?
1. You have cash in the bank - Awesome, they will want to see a copy of that bank statement.
2. You have a pre-approval letter from your lender - Great, they will want a copy of the letter together with your offer
3. You have no proof - Bad, they don't want to deal with you.

See how it goes?

The pre-approval is a very simple process that many homeowners fail to take advantage of. While it doesn't cost or obligate you to anything , pre-approval gives you a significant advantage when you put an offer on the home you want to purchase because you know exactly how much house you can afford, and you already have the green light from your lending institution.

Do you know how long it takes to get pre-approved once you provide the paperwork to the lender?

With a pre-approved mortgage, your offer will be viewed far more favorably by the seller - sometimes even if it's a little lower than another offer that's contingent on financing. Don't fail to take this important step. Do yourself a favor and take care of this TODAY!
